Effective immediately, 21 orchestra seats for $27 will be available by lottery for every performance of BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.).

The lottery will be conducted for every performance, as follows:
* 21 seats for $27 each, Cash Only at the box office
* Each person will print their name and the number of tickets (limit 2) they wish to purchase on a card that is provided. Participants will be asked to fill out their own name only (as it appears on their PHOTO ID; nicknames will not be accepted) and place the card in the supervised container. Limit one entry per person. Duplications will be automatically disqualified.
* Cards will be available 2 hours prior to performance time, and winners are drawn one and a half hours before the performance.
* If a winner’s name is drawn and they are not present, they will be automatically disqualified.  Winners must show their PHOTO ID when purchasing the tickets with cash at the box office window.

BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO performs Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m., with matinees on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street) on Broadway.

In previews now prior to an official opening night on March 31, BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO is a new American play by Rajiv Joseph starring Robin Williams in his Broadway acting debut and directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Moisés Kaufman.

Joining Mr. Williams in the cast are Glenn Davis, Brad Fleischer, Hrach Titizian, Sheila Vand, Necar Zadegan and Arian Moayed. 

In Rajiv Joseph’s play, BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO – a finalist for the 2010 Pulitzer Prize in Drama –  a tiger haunts the streets of present day Baghdad seeking the meaning of life.  As he witnesses the puzzling absurdities of war, the tiger encounters Americans and Iraqis who are searching for friendship, redemption and a toilet seat made of gold.

Rajiv Joseph is an American playwright whose plays include GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES, ANIMALS OUT OF PAPER, HUCK & HOLDEN, ALL THIS INTIMACY and THE LEOPARD AND THE FOX.   He is the recipient of the prestigious 2009 Kesselring Fellowship from the National Arts Club, and the 2008 Paula Vogel Award for emerging playwrights presented by the Vineyard Theatre. 

The Oscar, Emmy and Grammy Award-winning actor Robin Williams will make his Broadway acting debut in BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO, having previously appeared Off-Broadway opposite Steve Martin in Samuel Beckett’s “Waiting for Godot” at Lincoln Center in 1988.
