Tom Rush was an undergraduate at Harvard when he started moonlighting at the legendary Club 47 in the 1960s. With an easy charm and Robert Redford looks Tom was an instant star.

There were a handful of people in Harvard Square one night, back in the day, for Joan Baez. A group of use used to drive in from Brandeis in Waltham to catch her gig.

Between sets she was chatting and laughing with her boyfriend. She called him up to do a couple of songs with her. It was the first time I heard Bob Dylan.

There has been a lot of water under the bridge since then. But this Saturday night Rush, who has aged ever so gracefully as a gentleman farmer, will perform at the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield.

Also on the bill will be the legendary rocker Roger McGuinn, who, with David Crosby, was a founding member of the folk/ rock group The Byrds.

These days McGuinn is flying solo and it will be interesting to catch up.
It should be a delightful evening of down home, feel good music at the Colonial.

Later, in April, with Vicki Baird the medium will be the message in Pittsfield.

Vicki Baird will bring her show: Connecting with the Beyond to the Colonial on April 11th for one performance at 3PM. Tickets for the performance are $35 and can be purchased in person at the Colonial Ticket Office at 111 South Street Monday-Friday 10AM-5PM, performance Saturdays 10AM-2PM, by calling (413) 997-4444 or online at www.thecolonialtheatre.org|

Do you wish you could communicate with a loved one that has passed? Do you wonder if your relative will “come through” with a message for you? Find out at a live audience reading with remarkable, intuitive medium, Vicki Baird. A message for one is a message for all. http://www.vickibaird.com/

Local medium Vicki Baird has been communicating with the spirit world as long as she can remember. In addition to having the ability to communicate with the energy around a person, she is able to communicate with those who have left their physical bodies. Baird recalls that having this ability that has not always been easy, but with humor and kindness anything can be accepted.

Over the last eight years, Baird has offered readings publicly as well as spirit communication between the sitter and their guides, loved ones both here and who have crossed over. “It is truly my pleasure to be able to offer these services because I am helping others find their own light through healing and recognizing their own worth.” While it can be an emotional experience, Baird believes that it is one of great happiness as well. “When we realize that not only are those that have passed are doing well and are still able to be part of our lives, it is very freeing for those of us who remain in our physical bodies.”

The evening is a public gathering where Baird will deliver messages from those that have crossed. The event is beneficial to all who attend since messages that are passed through are meant for all those that are in attendance. “Whether you are the one receiving the message directly or not, it is a positive experience that confirms that we are on a journey of the soul that continues, even when our physical body does not,” says Baird.
