On Sunday, April 22 at 2pm (please note this date has changed from the brochure), Shakespeare & Company will hold its annual celebration of William Shakespeare's birthday with the Will 448 Birthday Bash! Audiences can enjoy a special matinee performance of its touring production of Macbeth, which features some of the Company’s most promising rising stars, followed by a fun party that will include a raffle, treats, and complimentary toast! The show begins at 2pm with the party following the performance.

Macbeth, the Education Program’s Non-Equity New England Tour of Shakespeare, has been on the road touring high schools, universities and theatres for the past three months, logging over 10,000 miles and performing to thousands of students. The Tour continues through late May, when it comes home for a final performance in Founders’ Theatre on May 4. Photos from the touring production of Macbeth can be found in S&Co.'s online gallery: http://www.shakespeare.org/gallery3/index.php/2012/macbeth-tour12

This year, Shakespeare & Company will raffle off a host of fantastic prizes, including a Founders' Theatre Ticket Package, which includes a pair of tickets to each main stage production in the 2012 summer season (shows include The Tempest with Olympia Dukakis, King Lear with Dennis Krausnick, and Satchmo at the Waldorf with John Douglas Thompson). Other raffle prizes include a Bernstein Theatre Ticket Package, a $100 gift certificate to Allium Restaurant + Bar in Great Barrington, and a special pass to the annual Business Friends Wine & Cheese Party, which includes a special performance of either King Lear or Parasite Drag.

Tickets: $20 for general admission; $10 for students. Call (413) 637-3353 or visit www.Shakespeare.org
