Deval Patrick Initiates Food For Thought

Series Launched At Hancock Shaker Village

By: - May 08, 2017

The innovative minds of the staff at Hancock Shaker Village are initiating a monthly speaker series over dinner, prepared by acclaimed Chef Brian Alberg of The Red Lion Inn and Main Street Hospitality.

The lecture series begins, this Friday, May 12th (6pm) at the Village in Seeds Market Cafe, on the grounds of Hancock Shaker Village (Hancock, Ma).

The series follows the Shaker tradition of commitment to values through their theology and commitment to gender equality, sustainability, land renewal and shared economic views.

Renewing these Shaker principles, the monthly dinner series will focus on forward thinkers.

The series begins with Deval Patrick on May 12th, followed by Mary Evelyn Tucker, a Yale pioneer in the field of ecology and religion, on June 3rd. Acclaimed historian Stacy Schiff will lead the discussion on July 14th and on August 11th, Pulitzer-prize winning author, Elizabeth Kolbert will finish the summer speaker series.

The magnificent line-up is sure to sell-out. Tickets for the 'Food For Thought' series can be purchased by visiting:
