Royal Ballet at Jacob's Pillow
First Visit to the Berkshires

There have been many interactions but in the current season the renowned company has visited the Berkshires for the first time. It is their only North American stop. Some five years of planning, fund raising, and logistics were entailed for this historic event.

By: - Aug 01st, 2023"Is it Thursday Yet", playing at the La Jolla Playhouse, tells the story of dancer Jenn Freeman, who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) when she was 33 years old. Using actual recordings of her therapy sessions and home videos Jenn’s father recorded as she grew up, the play is essentially a documentary of Jenn Freeman’s life from infancy to young adulthood. Neither Jenn nor her family knew she had ASD.

The Look of Love to Music of Burt Bacharach
By: - May 31st, 2023A longtime Pillow favorite, Mark Morris Dance Group will bring audiences The Look of Love, an homage to the music of the late Burt Bacharach, which had its world premiere in 2022 and which Fjord Review called “a breath of fresh, brilliant, joyous—and much needed—air.” A towering figure of popular music, Bacharach is known for his soaring melodies and unique orchestrations influenced by jazz, rock, and Brazilian music.
