Roger McGuinn, the co-founder of the legendary group The Byrds, will perform a special solo concert at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute on Saturday, April 9 at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $38 ($35 members and students) and available online at clarkart.edu

McGuinn, the founding father of folk-rock, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 as the leader of The Byrds, one of the most influential bands in modern musical history. McGuinn’s groundbreaking guitar riffs, like the famous opening of “Mr. Tambourine Man,” and his incomparable skill on his trademark 12-string Rickenbacker guitar have made him an equally successful solo artist. Known for his dynamic concerts, McGuinn is still “singing like a Byrd and playing as well as he had in the jingle-jangle morning of his career” (Los Angeles Times).
