As always, the staff at MASS MoCA creates a schedule of entertainers and events that may be unmatched worldwide. Fresh Grass is bluegrass and every sound that relates. If you examine the featured artists in the lineup for the 2017 'Fresh Grass' Festival, you will notice numerous names of individuals and bands that pop up as the backbone of the 'Fresh Grass' movement.

These are the true highlights of each day.

Besides the outdoor stages-which fill every nook and cranny, the festival also hosts several free workshops (sign up ahead due to space limitation). The workshops feature a Q&A with Alison Brown and Jaroslav Prucha; Fiddle Around with Darol Anger; Vocal Harmony Workshop with Mike + Ruthy; The Mandolin Mashup led by Joe Walsh (not the guy from the Eagles) and Step into the Spotlight hosted by Adam and Happy Traum.

Workshops are located on the 3rd floor, above the museum lobby.

If you like rock, swing, gospel, heavy metal or any form of music, this festival is for you. Besides great music, the area near MASS MoCA has a lot to offer the festival goer. Visit MASS MoCA while at the festival, go to Williamstown and visit the Clark Art Institute, Williams College, the Williams College Museum of Art, Mount Greylock and the Bascomb  Lodge on the summit.

MASS MoCA is home to a 19th century mill complex that has been turned into a 21st century museum. North Adams is only three hours from NYC, an hour from Albany and less then two and a half hours from Boston.
